How it all started
After having taken early retirement, I was visiting a gallery come tea room in Rothbury and was impressed by the photos that were displayed there. That sowed a seed in my head that grew into a desire for me to attempt to produce something similar. So it was that in the spring of 2013 that I made arrangements to see the photographer whose brilliant work was displayed and on sale in the form of mounted photographs and I was able to get some good advice on how to start.
After some careful planning and costing I prepared my first efforts and in the early spring of 2013 began my new venture with stalls in Morpeth, Hexham and the Quayside at Newcastle. I can remember this clearly because it was a very late spring that year and bitterly cold standing on the stall. This bitterly cold weather kept customers away and trading was difficult. At Easter, I travelled to Lightwater Valley near Ripon. Again, the weather was perishing cold, even in the Craft Marquee, and still the customers didn’t come. The next event was the Pickering Traction Engine rally and things started to improve.

Now fast forward 10 years, with a lot more experience under my belt and thousands more quality images collected, I have dispensed with the stall and am focusing on mail order. I have diversified from just mounted photos to much more personalised items – bespoke photo gifts that you can have an input in designing.
